AFTER CARE
Water Maintenance:
Exercise caution around salt and chlorinated water to prevent any potential damage to the bonds. Rinse promptly if contact occurs and initiate a cleansing routine.
Brush Before Washing:
Prior to your haircare routine, delicately detangle with a recommended hair extension brush. Hold your hair during brushing to minimize stress on the bonds. Aim for at least five brushing sessions a day for optimal maintenance.
Roots Deserve Care:
Show some love to the roots by abstaining from the direct application of conditioner or styling products. This can make points of attachment slide down.
Nighttime Routine:
Before bedtime, ensure your hair is thoroughly dry. Secure it in a tasteful ponytail or loose braid for a polished and secure nighttime routine.
Normal Shedding Process:
Acknowledge the natural shedding process; losing a few extensions over time is expected. Consistent, gentle brushing mitigates the risk of matting and tangling.
SEW IN Extensions (Additional Guidance):
Sulfate-Free Shampoo:
Opt for a sulfate-free shampoo during your washing ritual to uphold the integrity of your extensions. Gently massage, avoiding vigorous scrubbing, to maintain a smooth and tangle-free appearance.
Pre-Wash Brushing Etiquette:
Before washing, implement a systematic brushing technique, steering clear of the weft line. This ensures a smooth and controlled pre-wash process.
Heat Device Caution:
When using heat styling tools, choose a lower setting and avoid direct contact with keratin bonds to prevent any melting. Remember that Keratin bonds were installed with heat!
Push-Up Appointments:
Maintain the health and appearance of your extensions by scheduling push-up appointments every 4-7 weeks. This professional touch ensures continual excellence.
Special Advisory.
Blow-Dry with Precision:
Post-wash, meticulously blow-dry the bonds or points of attachment to prevent moisture buildup. Prior to blow-drying, use a wide-tooth comb to detangle the length, refraining from direct heat on the bonds.
Avoid Bronzing Lotions & Purple Shampoo
Be cautious of certain sunscreen components like avobenzone and octocrylene. These ingredients may cause your hair extensions to take on an orange tint due to a chemical reaction with your hair’s keratin under UV rays. To avoid this, opt for mineral-based sunscreens. Additionally, style your hair in adorable ponytails or buns to minimize contact, and remember to wash it afterward to maintain its flawless appearance.
Sectional Washing Approach:
For multiple rows, adopt a strategic approach by parting your hair horizontally. Wash each section separately to guarantee a comprehensive and effective cleaning process.
